- CALL LIGHT ON -- NO FIRE -- PARTIALLY BURNED FUEL IN POT
- Check firepot and clean. Make sure all the holes in the walls of the firepot are clear and scrape the firepot bottom as well.
- Check thermocouple. The cover needs to touch the end of the thermocouple wire and the cover should extent 1" into the firepot
- CALL LIGHT ON -- NO FIRE -- FUEL IN FIREPOT
- Check firepot for "clinker material" and clean if necessary
- Check to see if the igniter is working. Turn on the stove and after 2 minutes pull out the ashpan and look underneath to see if there is a red glow coming from the igniter. If not then the igniter may have burnt out.
- STOVE RUNS FOR 18 MINUTES -- THEN STOPS FEEDING FUEL
- Check the thermocouple. The cover needs to touch the end of the thermocouple wire and the cover should extent 1" into the firepot
- Adjust the feed adjustment. loosen the wingnut holding the feed adjustment rod in place, pull up on the rod about 1 inch and then tighten the wingnut to hold it in place again.
- STOVE CYCLES ON AND OFF -- THERMOSTAT ALWAYS ON
- Check wiring for a loose connection to the thermostat
- STOVE IGNITES -- GOES OUT -- CALL LIGHT STILL ON: “ STOVE IS INCONSISTENT IN OPERATION “
- Inspect the thermocouple and its position over the firepot
- Adjust the feed adjustment rod for a larger fire
- Check the exhaust and heat exchanger system
- Check the vacuum switch or hopper lid switch
- Check the feed motor
