• CALL LIGHT ON -- NO FIRE -- PARTIALLY BURNED FUEL IN POT
    • Check firepot and clean.  Make sure all the holes in the walls of the firepot are clear and scrape the firepot bottom as well.
    • Check thermocouple.  The cover needs to touch the end of the thermocouple wire and the cover should extent 1" into the firepot
  • CALL LIGHT ON -- NO FIRE -- FUEL IN FIREPOT
    • Check firepot for "clinker material" and clean if necessary
    • Check to see if the igniter is working. Turn on the stove and after 2 minutes pull out the ashpan and look underneath to see if there is a red glow coming from the igniter.  If not then the igniter may have burnt out.
  • STOVE RUNS FOR 18 MINUTES -- THEN STOPS FEEDING FUEL
    • Check the thermocouple.  The cover needs to touch the end of the thermocouple wire and the cover should extent 1" into the firepot
    • Adjust the feed adjustment.  loosen the wingnut holding the feed adjustment rod in place, pull up on the rod about 1 inch and then tighten the wingnut to hold it in place again.
  • STOVE CYCLES ON AND OFF -- THERMOSTAT ALWAYS ON
    • Check wiring for a loose connection to the thermostat
  • STOVE IGNITES -- GOES OUT -- CALL LIGHT STILL ON: “ STOVE IS INCONSISTENT IN OPERATION “
    • Inspect the thermocouple and its position over the firepot
    • Adjust the feed adjustment rod for a larger fire
    • Check the exhaust and heat exchanger system
    • Check the vacuum switch or hopper lid switch
    • Check the feed motor
