Quadra-Fire Trekker: What the Lights Mean

LED color and blink codes for the Quadra-Fire Trekker pellet stove and insert, and what each one means.

The Quadra-Fire Trekker pellet stove and insert use one indicator light that changes color and blink pattern to show what the stove is doing. Count the number of flashes between pauses (flashes are per one second unless noted), then find the color and count below.

Green

Steady ON while priming the feed tube (max. 2 minutes)

Feed motor is running continuously (priming the feed tube).

When priming the feed system and filling the fire pot, DO NOT OVERFILL the fire pot for ignition. The appliance will automatically go into start-up following the prime function.

Green

1x every 2 seconds

Appliance is on standby.

To start the appliance, follow the start-up sequence.

Blinks continuously

Appliance is in the start-up/ignition sequence.

Stage 1: Low heat

Appliance is in the shutdown sequence.

During shutdown, the blowers will shut off when the exhaust temperature has cooled.

Empty Hopper Alarm

This alarm is caused by the fire going out from lack of fuel. Reset by turning the dial to "OFF", then turn the dial to the desired setting.

Exhaust Probe Alarm

Failed component error. See the troubleshooting section of your owner's manual for more information.

Missed Ignition

There are a total of 2 tries per ignition sequence. If after 2 tries there is no rise in exhaust temperature, this error will occur. See the troubleshooting section of your owner's manual for more information.

Encoder Alarm

Failed component error: exhaust speed sensor. See the troubleshooting section of your owner's manual for more information.
