Here are a few things to remember:
The ON/OFF switch or remote control should be set to OFF before lighting the pilot.
The main gas valve to the fireplace should be ON.
It may take a few clicks of the igniter button until gas arrives to the fireplace and ignites.
Remember to turn the valve to the ON position after the pilot is lit so that the fireplace will turn on with your switch or remote.
