Clean your glass after the first 3 hours of burn time. If you skip this first cleaning, the glass can become permanently etched.
Make sure the glass is completely cool. We also recommend turning the gas off while you work on the fireplace.
Remove the front face or louvers. Carefully remove the glass assembly (follow the instructions in your manual) and lay it on a soft surface.
Wipe both sides with a household glass cleaner that does NOT contain ammonia, using a soft cloth.
For heavy deposits, use a hard-water-deposit glass cleaner (available at Enchanted Fireside).
Carefully put the glass back on (follow your manual) and make sure the glass assembly and front are secure.
After this first cleaning, clean the glass as often as needed, especially after adding new ember material.
Never use abrasive cleaners or scrubbing cloths on the glass. Scratches can cause the glass to shatter.
